620ie stuttering

Hi Folks
We have been out for a ride today and have got a problem with Lorraines 620ie it is stuttering and popping back through the air box it wont pull cleanly and tops out at about 6000 rpm. Can anybody give me an idea were to look for the problem otherwise it will have to go into the doctors for some TLC.

...and check/WD40 the leads if the weather's been unkind in the wolds.
You could try popping the filter out and seeing if it still won't pull over 6000 to eliminate blocked filter for free.

Gary- yes still under warranty but 40 mile from dealer
Albie- will look at plugs but wondered if there was anything less obvious
Rob- Air filter looks OK as bike only done 2500 mile but has been living outside
