washer/speedo type ???

got new tyres yesterday (Mmmm round tyres), from the lovely boys at Essential Rubber, and there was no washer on the front wheel nut.
Is this bad or just a Ducati thing of 'some have them, some don't'?????

Also, where does the speedo read from? the guy said they are usually on the front wheel, near to the missing washer, but not on mine.

can't wait for weather to get good, trying to scrub in my tyres and now they are white. since when did the roads outside London get painted in non-drying white paint?

Speedo reads from a sensor on the rear wheel on later Monsters.
