Hi,

I'm looking to take my 2003 M620ie over to europe for a couple of weeks in the summer and would really appreciate any advice people could give me.

I'm particularly interested in any info on setting up the rear suspension as I'll have a set of soft panniers and a tail bag.

Thanks
Alex

Depending how heavy you are you may not need to adjust the suspension. I always found the std. rear shock (on both 600 & 900) was sprung too hard for solo use, and actually handled better with luggage or a pillion.

As for what other bits to take....

Good breakdown/recovery insurance + Green card & E111 medical cover.

Spare bulbs, a good tubeless puncture repair kit, 1st aid kit.

Oil to top up with (depends on intended mileage) and a few spares like sparkplugs, gaffer tape, WD40 and basic tool kit can be handy.

Chain lube - unless you have a scottoiler, in which case make sure it's topped up ;)

I'm sure there will be other suggestions...

;) Hire a van and stick it in the back!

If your doing a load of motorway miles..I would also advise on a high level screen like Garys which will take the wind off your chest and make things much more comfortable..(above 80-85 for a period of time on a motorway can be very tiresome on a monnie !!)
