Hi

Does the petrol tank for a 620, fit on the S2R ?

Apparently it doesn’t fit on a 1000!!

Right ho then,
this is a little complicated. I'm running a 620ie tank on my monster which has a standard frame but is fitted with a watercooled (748) motor. The tank "fits" at the front but has to be raised about 30mm at the back to clear the rear cam box. The 620 motor is shorter that the others. Your S2 motor will be taller. I simply made up a rear tank hinge bracket which is a little taller. The best thing then is to make up (or get made) a small piece of trim to merge with the seat so you have a neat job.

I can send you some photos of the bike if this helps. This site only accepts really small files so an e-mail address would help. Also you could speak to Viv Cowley at V-Tech because he's done several conversions like this and will know the latest fix.

Hope this helps

Can you not just ask your dealer to check the relevant part numbers, see if they are interchangable?
